Subjects Taught

I attended Millsaps College and completed my degree in Psychology.  I then completed my Masters degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in Severe and Low Incidence Disabilities and anticipate completion of my Specialist degree in May 2019 in Mild/Moderate Disabilities.

I have 9 years of teaching experience in Special Education. I worked in Lee County for two years before moving to Yazoo City.  I spent 6 years at McCoy Elementary School in Yazoo City.  I then took three years off from teaching to stay home with my children.  This is my third year at Bentonia Gibbs Elementary School.

I have been married for 11 years to my husband, Grant, who also teaches (and coaches) in Yazoo County.  We have three children, Lilly (10), Will (8) and Luke (3).
